    INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 250. Wash the inside of your chip bag with soapy water, just like you would if you were washing dishes, being careful not to rip the bag. Dry the inside and out of the bag with paper towel thoroughly. Have a sheet of foil the same size as your baking sheet. Crinkle the foil and loosely smooth out the foil dull side up to fit the baking sheet.
Using oil, grease the foil moderately. Place chip bag face up in the center on the foil. With parent help place in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes. With parent help remove and cool completely. When cool the shrunken chip bag will pop off. Wash shrunken chip bag well in soapy water to remove oil residue. It helps to pour a little dish soap directly onto the back of the chip bag. With scissors, trim any rough edges. Then hole punch the left hand corner and attach a key ring.

This project makes a great gift to friends, parents, grandparents and teachers. Teachers, use this craft as a class project for father’s day.

WARNING: This project is temperamental and not all chip bags work. If the bag does not shrink after the given time, add a couple minutes and keep an eye on it.
