    INSTRUCTIONS

Clay pots come in all sizes from very small to very large. The smaller ones are inexpensive. Pictured is a 2 inch pot a 3 inch pot and a 4 inch pot. To start, measure the pot edge rim. That will be the distance to measure up from the bottom edge of your pot. Example a 2 inch pot rim is just over a 1/2 inch, so measure up just over a 1/2 inch from the bottom edge. With a pencil make a small mark as you measure around the bottom of the pot. Draw a light pencil line connecting the pencil marks. This area around the bottom will be painted white, the middle is painted orange, the rim and inside of the pot is painted yellow. To paint, put an upside-down pot over your hand or a couple of fingers. It is easiest to start with the white on the bottom, then paint the orange then the rim. Turn your wrist as you paint around the pot. You can wait for the outside of you pot to dry and then paint the inside. Or place your pot right side up and with out to much pressure paint the inside of your pot, being careful not to tip your pot over. It may take a couple of coats of paint. Dry thoroughly overnight. Fill with Halloween candy or use as decoration. For a party favor fill a 2 inch candy corn pot with candy corn. Wrap a 12 inch by 12 inch square cellophane up around it and tie with orange curly ribbon.
Another cute idea is to put on pumpkin face in the orange section.
