    INSTRUCTIONS

Protect your work space with news paper or plastic, protect your self with a paint shirt, and have lots of parent help. Heat and use the glue gun to attach the head to the upside down bell clay pot. Paint the snowman body and head white. It may take a couple of coats. Let it dry completely. Be sure to wash out your brush so it can be used again and again. Paint the end of a pencil orange, it to will need two or three coats, put the pencil tip up in a glass or tin can and let dry. Cut the pencil tip 1 inch from the tip. I used wire cutters. A old knife used like a saw will work too. Like I said, lots of parent help. Glue gun the stick arms on either side of the snowman where the head and body meet. Cut the baby sock toe off and gather the cut edge and tie with yarn to make a hat, then turn the cuff edge up and place on the snow mans head. Tie a scrap piece of fabric approx. 1 inch by 12 inches around the snow mans neck for a scarf. I like to rip the fabric to give it a soft edge. With white glue or glue gun put 2 or 3 small buttons on it’s tummy, and give your snow man two small button eyes. A glue gun will have to be used to put on his pencil tip carrot nose.
